Rev. Joseph Pensak, Organizing Pastor and his wife Katie and three daughters Nadine, Lucie and Maelle moved to Burlington in July 2011 after ten years of ministry in New England, both in Boston and Northeastern Connecticut. Joseph is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, located on the North Shore of Boston, and has been involved in entrepreneurial ministry work since 1998, when he co-founded an ESL (English as a second language) camp in Istebna, Poland. While in seminary, Joseph interned at Christ the King Presbyterian in Cambridge, MA, beginning an ESL program among the Brazilian immigrant community there. After graduating seminary in 2004, Joseph became the founding campus minister for a new RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) chapter at the University of Connecticut, where he served for seven years. In 2007, Joseph co-founded Bifrost Arts (www.bifrostarts.com), an ecumenical sacred music organization committed to providing new music, resources and training for the renewal of worship in the church.  Feel free to contact him at joseph@redeemerburlington.org.

John Meinen, Assistant Pastor to University Students is the campus minister for Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at UVM.    John and his wife Megan moved to Burlington in 2012 to minister to college students in Burlington, primarily on the UVM campus. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, class of 2004. After a year of service with AmeriCorps VISTA in the San Francisco Bay Area, volunteering with BRAC and the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, encountering Christ in the slums of Nairobi and the war zones of northern Uganda, leading backpacking trips for Outward Bound, and participating in a year-long fellowship program in the DC area, John entered Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where he earned a Masters of Divinity (M.Div.). While at Gordon-Conwell, John was an intern at Christ the King–Newton. John was ordained to the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in the summer of 2012.
